Uniting Kingscliff

The redevelopment project at Kingscliff involves the demolition of the existing facilities and design and construction of 199 independent living apartments, a 120 bed residential aged care facility, carparking and other amenities. The staging will allow for the existing facilities to be maintained whilst new facilities are built to allow decanting of current occupants on completion .

Due to flooding, the existing site will be filled to Council Specification with habitable spaces above the freeboard. All basement structures will be designed as watertight in consultation with a waterproofing specialist. Protection at the access point to the basement is via ramping up above the freeboard levels before ramping down.
