Neutral Bay Public School

Neutral Bay Public School, NSW

Client: Schools Infrastructure NSW

Architect: DesignInc

Cost: $24M

Project: New building, alterations, additional and upgrades to existing heritage buildings

The project consists of a redevelopment of the Neutral Bay Public School Campus through the construction of a new learning facility and upgrades to two existing heritage buildings.

The new Block M is a three-storey building consisting of reinforced and post-tensioned concrete floors and steel framed roof supported on concrete columns and shear walls. A combination of reinforced concrete shear walls and sway frames provide lateral stability to the building.

The new Block M contains new Administration facilities, a library, staff room, canteen and seven new General Learning Spaces. The upgrades to existing Buildings A & B consist of refurbishments to twelve General Learning Spaces, relocation of OSHC services and Special Programmes Rooms.
The surrounding landscaping and play space are also being revitalised as a part of the school upgrade along with a new underground OSD tank and external plant enclosures.
